About the Conference

AREA’s 14th Training Conference will bring together the best and brightest in our field.  These experts will showcase best practices in aquatic education covering today, tomorrow and the future. You and your organization will reap the benefits of the success stories, tools, practices, and practical solutions to common problems faced in our field. You will also have the opportunity to turn your biggest challenges into your greatest accomplishments when you learn from experts, leaders in the field, and fellow practitioners in aquatic education. The contacts you make and the innovations you will learn about ensure continued advancement in the fields of aquatic education, conservation, habitats.

The inspiration and knowledge you'll gain from the workshops will be exceedingly valuable for you and for your organization.  The training venue is one of the most successful of the outdoor / indoor classrooms – the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Outdoor Campus West.  Check the website for brochures and additional details.  Although it may seem difficult to carve out room in the budget for professional and ongoing development, the AREA 14th Biennial Training for Aquatic Educators is critical to the success of your programs and for your team’s professional development.

AREA leads the discussions for aquatic leaders. AREA is organized for educational purposes. AREA members include representatives of State, Federal, industry, fisheries and educational professionals involved in aquatic resource education programs. The nationwide non-profit Association is created to foster, promote and encourage aquatic education. Don’t miss this training opportunity for you and your team.

The tag line says it all: “SCULPTING THE FUTURE, BUILDING ON 25 YEARS OF AQUATIC EDUCATION”  We are excited to be on-site with everyone in 2022.
