The Aquatic Resources Education Association is a tax-exempt, non profit corporation under IRS 501(c)(3) regulations. As a small non profit, we are digitally oriented and operated, meaning our President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer are in different geographic locations; our corporation operates online digitally, across channels, without a physical, centralized brick-and-mortar presence; and, we conduct our corporate business electronically. Our officers are elected every two years during our biennial meeting.
If there are additional questions about our non profit status, please have them directed to the AREA President.
